2015 in review: community projects

Community Projects

This year we were able to collaborate with some fantastic organisations and undertake work in our communities, some of which included:

A weekend of youth group training for Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association UK with fantastic team building activities
- Signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Hayling Island Sailing Club to use the facilities for training
- Working with The Prince's Trust in Salisbury to mentor and provide hands-on work experience for young people - some of whom are now full members of Serve On and staffed the Ops Room during our recent deployment to Cumbria
- Helping elderly and vulnerable members of our community
- Working with INCLUDE school to mentor and provide activities for children who have been excluded from mainstream school
- Working in partnership with Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, Team Rubicon, Skywatch. Gloucestershire Police and Bedfordshire 4x4 Response
- Taking part in our local Community Repeater Project
- Fundraising at Tesco and Waitrose
- The launch of our new Portsmouth Community Resilience Team which will positively impact the surrounding communities and increase our volunteer membership
