The badges, which they themselves designed, mark them out as a very special part of the Serve On family and, in particular, the Community Resilience Team.

Fellow rookie Ethan Elsdon had already received his.

It's been a remarkable year for our Rookies as they have learned new skills, a sense of purpose and the benefits of volunteering, alongside adult team-mates.

They have played their part at community events, played roles in disaster scenarios.and taken part in deployments.

For all our rookies, their training and involvement has boosted their knowledge, their confidence and their CVs.

They have done themselves, and us, proud.
