Volunteers from each of Serve On’s teams were at the Emergency Services Show at Birmingham NEC to meet old friends and make some new ones.

Representatives of the International Response Team, the Community Resilience Team, the Dog Team and the Rescue Rookies all helped man our stand and we had a busy two days with plenty of interest in what we do.

The volunteers had constructive talks with numerous other service providers and commercial outlets alike, while taking time out to admire some of the shiny, top-end kit on show.

They also had a steady stream of high quality individuals visiting the stand, showing interest in volunteering with Serve On, and we look forward to following up on those contacts.

Search dog Molly, as usual, was a star of the show and attracted more attention than all the volunteers put together. She also found time to make the acquaintance of a K9 rescue dummy.

Rescue Rookie Matt, meanwhile got to try out some interesting new headgear in the form a constricting bandage.

The pictures (left) show Molly and a rescue dummy….and Matt. :-)

We met too many people to mention them all, but thanks to @RuthLeeLtd @CatRuggedPhones @NiceNetwork_UK @HandheldGroup @Petzl @NorthernDiverUK @VimpexRescue @musterpoint @SKCLtd @3tcSoftware @RDGOV #ResilienceDirect @FIRE_AID_UK @KirstyCRJ @RailChaplains @MindCharity #Mybluelight for all of your interest and/or offers of collaboration.
