Some of you may have noticed a new set of wheels about the place at Serve On HQ. The crew cab van we took delivery of not long ago was funded by a successful grant application to Southern Electric Power Distribution as part of their Resilient Communities Fund. With a donation of £19,980 we were able to purchase a new vehicle with livery and a trailer which is going to be an amazing asset to our teams.
Paul Rose, Chair of Trustees said: “We are delighted that Southern Electric Power Distribution has awarded a grant to Serve On to fund the purchase of a new vehicle. The nine-seater crew cab is going to make such a difference to our work - enabling us to support more community projects and giving a huge boost to our capability. We are now able to be more flexible and reactive to any severe weather events in our local communities and across the UK. In these situations the quicker we can respond the better and with this new vehicle we are poised and ready to support local communities in times of need."
Huge thanks go to Southern Electric Power Distribution Resilient Communities Fund for funding the new vehicle.
