Enjoying the heat? Our teams are ready for action whatever the weather.
Six weeks ago Serve On volunteers were sweltering as they tackled Simex 2018, the UK’s largest annual international disaster response exercise, along with other voluntary groups and emergency services.
Now that we have had a chance to gather together the photographs, it's a good opportunity to look back at what they were up to.
Serve On Community Resilience Team volunteers from Worthing, Portsmouth and Salisbury were busy from the start, supporting the emergency services, exercise staff and many of the casualties and role players.
They set up and manned the Voluntary Agency Coordination Cell (VACC), which Serve On is pioneering, and the 'SPOFLOW' reception tent which, with help from others including Team Rubicon UK, kept the convergent volunteers flowing.
Meanwhile, Serve On International Response Team members were 'in country' responding to rescue taskings in a series of mass casualty simulations.
Our thanks to Serve On IRT member Chris Taylor and his @ActionMediaInternational photographic team for some great photos, and to the @SimexSeries2018 team for another well-organised event. featuring no fewer than 62 agencies, 684 role players and 3,023 participants.
