Flood Response

In an era of increasingly severe weather and flooding across the UK, Serve On stands ready to respond through our DEFRA-accredited Flood Rescue Team. Composed of highly trained volunteers and equipped with specialist rescue equipment, our teams are capable of operating safely and effectively in challenging flood conditions.

We train continuously to maintain the highest operational standards, ensuring our personnel are ready to respond anywhere in the UK at short notice. Beyond immediate rescue operations, we also work with community partners to promote flood awareness, preparedness, and resilience - helping people and places recover after disaster strikes.

Disasters strike close to home.

Our DEFRA qualified Water and Flood Rescue team is an audited and approved national asset and can be deployed by the government. They can also be requested by councils, utility companies, police, fire & rescue, lowland rescue, and many other organisations.

Flooding can result in loss of life and major effects on the health and well-being of people affected, as well as disrupt services, infrastructure and businesses.

2.4 million homes are at risk of flooding from rivers and the sea, and 4.6 million from surface water flooding. These numbers signify the importance of the work our team does to mitigate against the effects and impact of flooding.
