Our Trustees
Paul Rose (Chairman)
Paul has over 40 years of experience in technology, e-commerce business services, procurement, sales, and marketing. As Director and co-owner of Icon Connect, a leading home automation company, he has overseen the company’s Sales & Marketing and Finance functions since 2002.
Before joining Icon Connect, Paul held senior roles across a range of disciplines, including purchasing, sales and marketing, and product management. He was a founder of the e-Procurement Best Practice Network and served as an advisor to the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply on e-commerce strategy.
In addition to his commercial work, Paul now serves as Chairman of Serve On, a humanitarian search and rescue charity dedicated to deploying trained volunteers to international disaster zones and supporting community resilience initiatives.
Abbas Dhanani
Abbas joined the charity in 2011 as a trainee IRT volunteer. In 2013 he graduated as International Rescue and since then he has deployed with Serve On to earthquakes, floods and hurricanes including the Nepal quake in 2015, Hurricane Irma in 2017, and the Turkiye Earthquake in 2023.
Professionally, Abbas is a partner of the IT consultancy Agilicist, where he focuses on helping large companies scale their Strategy and Delivery processes. He's also really good at juggling.
Nigel Hindle
Nigel has spent over 40 years of his professional life advising on the sale and acquisition of high end residential properties in London, the country and for the last 20 years in the south of France and Monaco. Nigel spends his time between his home in Wiltshire and Nice, where he is based as a consultant to a global property company.
Nigel is delighted to have been asked to become a Trustee of Serve On and looks forward to making an effective contribution and helping the Team develop the charity to its full potential.
Neil Donaldson
Neil has spent over three decades in investment banking, specialising in risk management in Fixed income markets. He started as a Trader and progressed to Senior Manager of Trading and Sales teams. He spent eight years working abroad in Tokyo and Hong Kong before returning to London.
Neil is honoured to be asked to serve as a Trustee and hopes to make a practical contribution by utilising his network to support the fundraising effort.
Farooq Muzammal (Vice Chair)
For over 35 years, Farooq held senior and board positions at the world’s largest brokerage houses, running global businesses.
Farooq has been volunteering for international humanitarian charities since 2019. After attending the earthquake in Southern Türkiye as a government liaison officer for another charity, Farooq decided he wanted to dedicate his time to an earthquake first responder charity.
Farooq was delighted to be asked to join Serve On’s Board and hopes to use his energy and international connections to help Serve On save lives.
