I’m doing IRT training as a friend introduced me to Serve On a year ago, and the work they do really stood out. It’s different, challenging and leaves a huge and positive impact on those helped by the charity.

The opportunity to contribute to that impact is what drew me in, with the added personal motivation to stretch my comfort zone and pick up a new set of skills, which as a journalist I probably would not have had the chance to. Being on the flood team has already proven to me how rewarding and fun Serve On is.

I’m looking forward to learning more, pushing myself and further getting to know a great group of people.
